We will work together on your goal of having your child be supported in the least restrictive environment at their educational placement as well as attempting to increase their independence as they move through life and into adulthood. We will have tough but productive conversations, but work together as a team with a shared common goal.
1) Time spent meeting in person at a park, cafe or hiking. One hour. Talk about your goals, what is the problem and what you have done about it.
2) Time spent with your child. One hour playing Uno, building Lego, browsing instagram for cat and puppy videos. Talking and possibly filling out some self-rating scales to get things rolling.
3) Extensive medical background information from parent.
4) Review of the IEP, recent testing and areas of need/strength.
5) Defining the goal, the purpose, and moving forward to get what is needed. This part is not pretty. And you may not like me after this. But you still need to pay me. (LOL).
